“ Palace Halal Food is a tucked away gem of Silver Spring! I love Afghan food and this is one of the best I’ve had in this area! The staff were patient and friendly as I decided what to order. Everything looked so good I wanted the entire menu! I settled on getting the Falafel Salad and it was the BEST decision!! Everything was fresh and the falafel was perfectly cooked and seasoned. To (literally) top it off, they added the most flavorful chickpeas! I like a little spice with my white sauce and they managed the perfect balance. My mouth is still watering and I would 100% recommend! ”

Very reasonable prices, mostly around 15. Recommendation: lamb salad & lamb kabob. Also ask for spicy version. ”

“ So I have never had Afghan food before, and I have to say that this was awonderful first experience. Ashna was the wonderful gentleman that took my order and gave exceptional service. He knew it was my first time trying the food, so he gave me some great recommendations. I ordered the lamb and chicken over rice, which was just so flavorful and delicious. The rice was so aromatic and had great texture. The chickpeas and the protein that went on top of the rice was so savory and tender. I also ordered the samosa which it was the first time I have ever had that, and it was delicious. It was crunchy on the outside and it had this enjoyable vegetable filling in it, and it came with this spicy & sweet green sauce. The falafel I have to say was not my favorite because it was a little dry, but I ate it with my rice which had plenty of yummy sauce over it, so it was fine. I loved the food so much that I ended up ordering some lamb for my mom to go. MY mom is very picky and she absolutely loved it. Ashna let me know that they don't add anything to the lamb because they marinate it, and let me tell you whatever they marinade it in must smell divine, because the smell and the flavor was amazing. The lamb was so tender and juicy. I highly recommend stopping by and trying this place out. I know I will definitely be back to try more things on their menu. ”
